Sg. Korbu-Hydro Power Plant

PPC foray into the construction of hydroelectric projects has further strengthened its capabilities in the field of engineering and construction. The project secured is the 7.0 MW Mini Hydro Project at Sg. Korbu, Sg. Siput, Perak at the contract sum of RM63 million.

The project developer is Kuasa Sezaman Sdn Bhd (KSSB). KSSB was awarded the concession to construct, operate and supply electricity to TNB grid via Renewable Energy Power Purchase Agreement (REPPA). This project is one of the 25 mini hydroelectric project proposal by Perak Hydro Renewable Energy Corporation Sdn Bhd (PHREC) which has recently been approved for development under the Small Renewable Energy Programme under the purview of the Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA).

This project is consistent with the nation's aspiration to reduce carbon footprint from energy harvesting activities.
