On 8 August 2012, some 76 students from the UTAR ASHRAE Student Branch from various faculties attended the “Think Sustainability, why me?” talk by Ar. Von Kok Leong at UTAR Setapak campus. The talk was aptly conducted as UTAR ASHRAE is driving a message towards global sustainability as pressing issues of Mother Earth degeneration continues to be highlighted over and over again.

Ar. Von started the talk by giving a clear picture on how global warming is linked to human evolution. He further led the students to see a larger picture on our individual responsibility in causing harm to the environment and course of action that we should employ to slowdown the progress.

The talk, which too almost two hours, drew much interest not only from the students, but also lecturers from various related engineering faculties.
