Liquid Bulk Terminal Berth 4, Westports
Completed in 2003
In 2003, PPC was tasked to construct the Liquid Bulk Terminal (“LBT 4”) for Westports, one of the most busy port in the world. This massive project involved the construction of a 101-metre long breasting dolphin (berthing platform) for DVVT vessels, mooring dolphins with link bridges, an access bridge, as well as a pipe rack from shore to the breasting dolphin.
PPC also proposed the alternate design of the access bridge, a continuous system consisting of a 28-metre post-tensioned beam which added several advantages including a comfortable drive and enhanced stability on the bridge.
